The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Iván Martín “N,” identified as an alleged co-perpetrator in the femicide of influencer Valeria Márquez, which took place on May 13, 2025, in the municipality of Zapopan. The arrest was carried out on August 1 as part of the investigation to solve the case.
According to the agency, the man was apprehended during an operation led by investigative agents—supported by the Mexican Army and the National Guard—after a judge issued an arrest warrant against him.
Investigations indicate that Iván Martín “N” allegedly participated before, during, and after the attack on the content creator. The Prosecutor’s Office maintains that the alleged perpetrators used a motorcycle and a white car to carry out the assault and facilitate their escape.
According to the investigation, the vehicles’ routes were reconstructed through the analysis of C5 system cameras and private video footage, which helped strengthen lines of inquiry regarding the movements of those involved.
As part of the proceedings, authorities also executed a search warrant at a property located in the San Juan de Ocotán neighborhood of Zapopan. At the residence, they seized two firearms—one .40 caliber and one 9mm—as well as cell phones and identification documents; these items will be analyzed as part of the case file.
