Sara Rosalina T., a 35-year-old preschool teacher, was executed on the morning of this Monday, September 14, in the Centro neighborhood of the municipality of Escuinapa, in the south of the state of Sinaloa.
The crime occurred at the intersection of Francisco Pérez and Francisco I. Madero streets, near a convenience store and a primary school.
According to police reports, the victim arrived home after dropping off her son at school. When she got out of her car, hitmen on a motorcycle intercepted her and shot her repeatedly, then fled.
Agents from the Escuinapa Municipal Police and paramedics from the Red Cross went to the site to provide medical care; However, lifeguards confirmed that the woman no longer had vital signs.
Elements of the Mexican Army and the municipal corporation guarded the perimeter to preserve the crime scene, while experts from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sinaloa (FGE) carried out the removal of shell casings and the collection of ballistic evidence.
The teacher’s body was transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) to perform the legal autopsy. The security cabinet authorities did not report any arrests following the search operations implemented in the area.
