U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ronald Johnson highlighted the arrest in Jalisco on Monday of a man wanted in the United States for murder and other crimes, presenting the case as a new result of bilateral security cooperation.

On social media, the diplomat posted a photograph of the detainee—handcuffed and guarded by four Jalisco police officers—and stated: “Criminals have nowhere to hide.” “Security coordination between the United States and Mexico continues to yield results.

Thanks to close cooperation between authorities, the Jalisco Police arrested a fugitive wanted in the United States for murder and other serious crimes,” he wrote. Johnson maintained that the cooperation fostered by Presidents Donald Trump and Claudia Sheinbaum “sends a clear message: regardless of the crime, criminals have nowhere to hide.”
