A fourth body showing signs of violence was found inside the trunk of an abandoned vehicle near the Tijuana Soccer Stadium in the Lomas de Agua Caliente neighborhood, bringing the number of bodies discovered in the area to four in less than 24 hours.
The latest discovery occurred at approximately 4:32 p.m. at the intersection of Las Américas Boulevard and Guatemala Street. According to a source cited by ZETA, the unidentified victim had been wrapped in colored blankets and had visible signs of violence.
Municipal police officers who arrived at the scene found a white Hyundai Elantra with its trunk partially open. Inside was an unidentified male who was already dead.
The discovery followed several other killings in the same general area:
- Earlier that morning, a body was found inside the trunk of a vehicle in the parking lot of Casino Caliente.
- Hours later, another body was discovered in the trunk of a car in front of Sabor a Mi restaurant.
- A third incident was reported approximately two hours before the latest discovery, also along Las Américas Boulevard in Lomas de Agua Caliente.
Authorities had not determined whether the four cases were connected at the time of the report.
ZETA reported that Tijuana had recorded 26 homicides in August and 567 so far in 2026 as of August 17.
