As part of coordinated actions by the Mexican Government’s Security Cabinet, personnel from the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR) arrested a woman wearing tactical gear and seized high-caliber weaponry during a tactical operation in the municipality of Escuinapa, Sinaloa.

According to the official report dated July 20, 2026, the intervention stemmed from ongoing efforts under the National Security Strategy to combat criminal groups and neutralize sources of violence in the state.

During inspection and security operations in the area, federal forces seized the following equipment:

Three long guns

One handgun

22 magazines

44 live rounds of various calibers

Two ballistic vests

Two vehicles

The detained individual, along with the seized weaponry, tactical equipment, and vehicles, was placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor.

The prosecutor’s office will be responsible for compiling the corresponding investigation file to determine the origin of the seized material and resolve the legal status of the individual involved, in accordance with the law.
