Colombian woman linked to “Golden Roma,” a cell connected to “La Chokiza” in Ecatepec, formally charged

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported this Thursday, February 12, that it obtained a formal indictment against Nancy Palomo Taborda, alias “Valeria,” a Colombian citizen identified as a key operative of the “Golden Roma,” a criminal cell linked to “La Chokiza” in Ecatepec, State of Mexico.

In a statement, the institution reported that a Federal Public Prosecutor from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) presented sufficient evidence for the judge to order pretrial detention and a two-month period for further investigation.

The federal authority detailed that Nancy faces charges for drug trafficking in the form of possession of cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine hydrochloride, as well as for extortion and possession of ammunition restricted to the armed forces.

Alias ​​“Valeria” was confined in the Nezahualcóyotl Bordo de Xochiaca Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center while the investigation against her is carried out.
