Following a federal forces operation on September 20 in the municipality of Quilá, Culiacán, Sinaloa, local media reported the death of Rafael Guadalupe Félix Núñez, alias El Changuito Ántrax and/or Changuito 06, considered the leader of Los Ántrax, the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel, a faction of Los Mayos.
According to media reports, Félix Núñez was cornered during the federal operation and decided to enter a nearby river in an attempt to flee. However, since he could not swim, he drowned and died.
“Rafael Guadalupe Félix Núñez, alias El Changuito Ántrax, considered the leader of the Los Ántrax group and one of Mayito Flaco’s most loyal followers, died yesterday in the municipality of Quilá, Culiacán, according to various local media outlets.
“After being cornered and refusing to be captured by the armed forces, he entered the river and drowned, according to reports,” Grillonautas reported in an informative video on YouTube.
