A judge from the judicial branch—based in Barrientos, Tlalnepantla de Baz—upheld the justified precautionary measure of pretrial detention for Karla Alejandra ‘N’ and Germán ‘N’, the wife and son of Germán ‘N’, Lord Pádel.
After a 10-hour hearing reviewing the precautionary measures, Lord Pádel’s new defense team offered four testimonies as evidence in favor of their clients.
Two of them were eyewitnesses to the events, two neighbors of the suspects, and a forensic expert.
The lawyers tried to convince the judge that Alejandra ‘N’ and Germán ‘N’ should be released from their trial, even conducting the hearing with a gender perspective.
After more than 10 hours of hearing, the judge ruled that it was not appropriate to change the precautionary measure to guarantee the safety and integrity of the victim and the witness, and therefore ordered that the justified preventive detention should prevail.
In closing, Karen Abigail, the lawyer for Lord Pádel’s family, said that Alejandra “N” is in very bad shape and has even lost weight, as has Germán “N.”
