Surrounded by her family and to the music of a student band, Alicia Matías Teodoro, the grandmother who lost her life after protecting her two-year-old granddaughter with her body. She had taken her to work last Wednesday when the inferno engulfed La Concordia, said goodbye.

Sandra, the sister of the man who worked as a checker at the Santa Martha Cetram (Centram of the Nation), said that her passing has been a difficult time for her family and that even her parents, whom they have tried to comfort, have fallen ill. She emphasized that the loss is irreparable, but that the heroic grandmother, as many call her, left a legacy, and that her case motivated many people to show solidarity and help all the victims.

Everything she left behind as an icon of her granddaughter has been passed down; The love he showed has touched hearts,” he said.

Now they hope the company will be held accountable for the deaths and injuries of all the victims of the fire.
