Last Thursday, three narco-banners allegedly signed by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) appeared, addressed to Vice Admiral Daniel Escobedo Escobedo, commander of the Second Naval Region, in Ensenada, Baja California.

The banners were placed in different locations in Ensenada. One was placed on the pedestrian bridge located in front of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), El Sauzal campus; another was placed on the intersection entering the city, above the “Welcome” sign; and another was placed on the El Gallo Bridge, over Reforma Avenue.

According to Zeta, this would be the fifth narco-banner addressed to the vice admiral since he took office, demanding that the military chief “answer the phone” and confirm receipt of an alleged criminal agreement.

The discovery was reported to the C5 emergency system around 6:00 a.m., and Municipal Police officers responded to the scene, while State Citizen Security Force (FESC) agents removed the tarps.
