Violence continues in Sinaloa, leaving nine dead in the central and southern areas of the state

A total of nine people were found dead in different parts of the central and southern areas of the state of Sinaloa, in a day marked by violence that affected the municipalities of Culiacán, Navolato, San Ignacio, and Mocorito.

The discoveries were recorded on the morning of Friday, June 6, according to local authorities.

According to reports, the first bodies were located on the Benito Juárez Highway, known as “La Costera,” in the municipality of Navolato, near the town of Balbuena. Minutes before 6:00 a.m., two bodies were found at the scene with bullet wounds and spent AK-47 rifle shells.

One of the victims, of medium build, was lying face down, his hands tied in front of him. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and black sandals. The second body was that of a man in his 70s, of thin build, with graying hair, wearing a pink T-shirt and brown pants, and barefoot.

Shortly after, another body was found on the same Benito Juárez Highway, near the old toll booth in Culiacán. The victim, who has not yet been identified, had gunshot wounds and his hands were tied. He was wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt and pants of the same color.
