During a recent edition of his show “The Big Podcast,” former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal publicly revealed that he has discontinued his fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks due to issues related to charging range.
O’Neal, one of the most recognizable figures in American sports and a frequent consumer of high-end vehicles, noted that the limited energy efficiency of Tesla models doesn’t fit his daily commuting needs.
The former athlete went further by directly comparing the driving experience between his Teslas and his new Cadillac Escalade IQ, a vehicle he recently purchased during a visit to Las Vegas.
He explained that with the electric Escalade, he didn’t need to recharge for four days, unlike the Cybertruck, which struggled to conserve enough energy even for short urban trips.
