All roads lead to Cadillac. The return of Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez to Formula 1 is getting closer, and according to German outlet Bild, the former Red Bull driver has already closed a deal to return to racing on the series’ tracks.
This Saturday, during the Miami Grand Prix, the new top-flight team will present its identity, colors, and logo for its entry into the 2026 season.
Given this, speculation about the possible presentation of the 35-year-old from Jalisco spread online, although nothing is official yet.
‘The deal with Cadillac was closed months ago’
With all the mystery surrounding the selection of the two drivers who will represent Cadillac in its entry into Formula 1, information is coming out in dribs and drabs.
The German newspaper Bild, through an article by Enrico Ahlig, revealed this Thursday that the deal between the new premier-class team and the Mexican had been finalized for some time.
“According to Bild, the agreement with the Mexican has been finalized for months,” the European media outlet’s website reads.
