Personnel from the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) killed Jesús González Peñuelas, alias “El Chuy,” during an air and ground operation carried out on Monday, October 26, in the vicinity of Estación Capomas, in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa.

According to information from Semar, naval personnel and members of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) repelled an armed attack near Alfredo V. Bonfil. This action stemmed from naval intelligence operations, resulting in the seizure of four stolen vehicles, three long guns, magazines, and ammunition.

“Two individuals died during the confrontation; their identities may correspond to Jesús ‘N’—alias ‘Chuy Peñuelas,’ a second-tier operative ranking just below Fausto Isidro Meza Flores (alias ‘Chapo Isidro’), leader of the Guasave Cartel—and Cesáreo ‘N.’ Forensic confirmation is still pending,” the statement reads.
