Jesús Ochoa Chávez, alias “La Venada”, would be the new leader of the Los Reyes Cartel, after the organization lost its two main heads in less than a month: Alfonso Fernández Magallón, “Poncho La Quiringua”, arrested on August 1, and Luis Enrique Barragán Chávez, “El Wicho” or “R5”, killed on the night of August 30 in a military operation in Tocumbo, Michoacan.
According to an unofficial organization chart of the organization, disseminated by the specialized security account @HEARST_BB, it places “La Venada” in third place within the “Líderes” block, just after “Poncho” and “El Wicho”, and even above the former’s two sons, identified as “El 20” and “El Junior”.
Below the leadership block, the same document describes four additional levels of command within the Los Reyes Cartel. The second step corresponds to the “Security Chiefs”: William Álvarez (“El Maniako”), Alan Alexis Valencia Haro (“Alillan”), Omar (“Macchin”) and Bryan Lemus (“El R10”).
