The Government of Antioquia is offering up to 50 million pesos for information that could help identify and prosecute those responsible for Luna’s death.
The Government of Antioquia has offered a reward of up to $50 million for information leading to the identification, prosecution, and capture of those responsible for the death of a dog named Luna in the municipality of San Roque. The case has already been reported to the Attorney General’s Office.
The departmental administration stated that the reward aims to gather information to advance the investigation into the events that harmed the animal. The government emphasized that those responsible must answer to the authorities. “We are offering a reward of up to 50 million pesos for information that allows us to identify and prosecute the abusers of the dog ‘Luna’ in San Roque. We have already reported these events to the Attorney General’s Office,” the Government of Antioquia stated.
According to a message posted by the animal advocacy platform Alto, Luna died on August 27 after spending several days under veterinary care.
In a message attributed to the dog’s family, her loved ones expressed their grief over her death and thanked those who had followed her recovery process. “Our beloved Luna held on for five days, just to show us how strong our love for her always was,” the message reads.
