Three young people—a woman and two men—were reported missing early Monday morning in Mazatlán after leaving a bar.
The young men are from Culiacán and were in the port on vacation, a similar case to the one that occurred last April with the disappearance of three young men from Querétaro.
The missing young men are Danna Fernanda Félix Peregrina, 22; Gonzalo Ismael Montero García, 23; and Rodolfo Urías Rivera, 24.
In Danna’s case, relatives report that she is now safe, although no further details were provided.
According to relatives, the young men allegedly had an argument with a vape vendor inside the Cotorritos Marina bar, and upon leaving, they boarded an Uber, later losing contact with the men.
The argument began because the young men refused to buy a vape from the ones offered inside the establishment. The three young men had recently completed their university studies.
Just this Monday morning, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo boasted that the perception of security in Mazatlán had recovered after declining since December 2024, due to the conflict between Chapitos and Mayos.
Last April, José Isaías García, 23, and his friends, brothers Santiago and Carlos Enrique Sánchez Rodríguez, arrived at the port from Querétaro and have remained missing ever since.
In this case, the young men were allegedly traveling toward the municipality of Concordia.
