The Colombian popular music singer Yeison Jiménez tragically died on January 10th in a plane crash in Boyacá, Colombia. The artist was traveling in a private aircraft that crashed minutes after taking off from the Paipa airport.
The aircraft failed to gain altitude and burned in a field near the end of the runway. Three of his companions, as well as the pilot and co-pilot, also perished in the crash.
In an official statement, the singer’s team confirmed the news and highlighted Jiménez’s human and artistic legacy. “Today we not only say goodbye to an artist; we say goodbye to a son, a brother, a friend, a human being full of dreams and courage,” they stated, emphasizing his perseverance, discipline, and love for his people—values that defined his career and his relationship with the public.
