A 29-year-old woman was stabbed with a knife by her boyfriend while they were in their apartment in La Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, according to the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), who responded to the scene to assist the victim.
Officers were on surveillance duty when they were alerted by Command and Control Center operators about an injured person inside an apartment located between México and Antonio Solá avenues, where they approached as part of a search.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim still showing vital signs and had a two-centimeter stab wound to her left wrist, another wound to her abdomen, and another wound to the side of her ribs. However, none of these injuries were serious, and she did not require hospitalization.
Upon arrival, the SSC officers interviewed the 29-year-old woman, who identified her partner as the alleged attacker. They entered the home and found the man there, whom they arrested for the assault.
He was read his constitutional rights and taken to a Public Prosecutor’s Office, where his legal status regarding the assault or the type of crime he committed will be determined.
The identity of the woman who was stabbed with a knife, which was also seized, and whether she will file a complaint, is currently unknown.
