This Saturday, February 21, a violent day unfolded in Tijuana, resulting in three deaths and one injury in the neighborhoods of Vías de Monterrey, Camino Verde, Lomas de Tlatelolco, and the Natura housing development. All the victims were killed with firearms.

Around 11:51 a.m., Municipal Police officers responded to a report of a person injured by a firearm. Upon arriving at the residence located at L144 on Vías de Monterrey Street, the officers found a man in the yard, approximately 30 years old, with a slim build and light brown complexion, wearing a black sweatshirt, dark pants, and white tennis shoes.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, had injuries to his chest, apparently caused by a firearm.

Fire Engine 13 arrived at the scene and, after checking the young man’s vital signs, confirmed that he had already died.

It should be noted that residents of the area reported hearing gunshots an hour before the body was found; however, no ballistic evidence was found at the scene.

Between 12:28 and 12:30 p.m., municipal police officers responded to a report from the radio dispatch center about another person injured by a firearm, this time at the intersection of Baja California and Mar Caspio streets in the Camino Verde neighborhood.
