The murder of Valeria Márquez, who was only 23 years old and known for her social media activity and her entrepreneurship in the beauty industry, has caused a profound stir.
The attack occurred while Valeria was doing a live TikTok broadcast from her business, Blossom The Beauty Lounge, located in the Real del Carmen neighborhood.
Due to the viralization of images of the murder, various theories have emerged about what led the killer to break into Valeria’s business and kill her. Several names of possible accomplices in the crime have even been floated (such as her friends Vivian and Erika, who, of course, have categorically denied the accusations).
So far, the Jalisco prosecutor’s office is continuing its investigation and has reported that it is not targeting any individual in particular. Valeria Márquez had previously shared on social media how she managed to establish her beauty salon, Blossom The Beauty Lounge.
In a video that resurfaced after her death, the young woman explained that, although she had saved a significant amount of money, it wasn’t enough to complete her project. Therefore, she decided to ask her father for a loan, which allowed her to open the business that months later would become the scene of her tragic murder.
Following her death, content creator Mafian TV revealed that the young woman’s father had “looted” her house in order to collect the money he had lent her.
