The United States government has revoked the visa to enter the United States of Juan Gim, mayor of Nogales, Sonora, without officially announcing the reasons for this.
In a video posted on his social media, the Sonoran politician stated that the US government’s decision was due to an administrative matter, while also confirming the news.
“Indeed, the United States government has taken some measures regarding my immigration status, which I respect. Given these circumstances, I remain calm and have a clear conscience, because I have not been accused of anything improper, which is why I am still here. I am sure that time will prove me right.
“This is not a witch hunt or a scandal; it is an administrative process that I am facing responsibly and with respect. “I continue working normally and with the same intensity. I am in my office fulfilling my duties, addressing urgent and important issues facing our city,” he explained.
Gim took the opportunity to ask the people of Nogales not to engage in political confrontations or rush into judgments, as he believes this is a temporary situation that will be duly clarified by the U.S. authorities.
