The United States, through Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), highlighted the transfer of individuals linked to the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the extradition of 37 criminals from Mexico.
The agency notes that five of the 37 individuals transferred were the subject of an investigation by ICE El Paso into foreign terrorist organizations.
“The Mexican government arrested the individuals pursuant to arrest warrants issued following formal indictments in the Western District of Texas. The fugitives were deported to San Antonio,” reads the report shared on February 3.
Among those extradited is a woman identified as an operative and two men allegedly linked to the criminal group led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho. They are María Del Carmen Navarro Sánchez, Luis Carlos Dávalos López and Gustavo Castro Medina.
