Will Christian Nodal end up in jail? That was the warning from Ulrich Richter, Universal Music’s lawyer, who accused the singer of using forged documents as part of his contracts with the company.
As a result, an arrest warrant has been issued for Ángela Aguilar’s husband.
“Universal Music made an agreement with Christian Nodal stating that he would perform those works, but Universal owns them. He agreed, but he left the label and breached the contract, suing the company by claiming those albums were his,” he said in an interview with Manuel Feregrino.
Nodal is now claiming the rights to the songs he performed, which were originally owned by Universal Music.
The forged documents presented by the singer correspond to a series of contracts he signed with Universal Music, especially those related to payments he made to staff, including his parents.
