The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a statement on social media sharing the discovery of posters advertising rewards for the shooting of immigration agents serving their nation, sparking outrage among Americans.

According to the Department, the agents primarily threatened by the emergence of these posters are Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel.

In addition, criminal networks have enlisted Chicago street gangs to monitor, harass, and kill these federal agents, particularly in neighborhoods such as Pilsen and Little Village in Chicago, also in Portland, according to information shared by the Department of Homeland Security.

“These criminal networks not only resist the rule of law, but they wage an organized campaign of terror against the brave men and women who protect our borders and communities. Our agents face ambushes, drone surveillance, and death threats, all because they dare to enforce the laws passed by Congress. We will not give in to these threats, and every criminal, terrorist, and illegal immigrant will face American justice,” said Secretary Kristi Noem.
