Two individuals implicated in the killing of a newly admitted patient at the Jireh Rehabilitation Center—a facility linked to the “Patrulla Espiritual” and owned by Jesús Ignacio Osuna, better known as “Chikilin”—have been arrested and are set to appear at an initial hearing. The suspects, identified as Mario Antonio “N” and Anthony “N,” beat their victim to death.
Witnesses told *ZETA* that the two men—who were themselves patients undergoing rehabilitation and also worked as staff at the Jireh Center—justified the violence against the new arrival by citing his physical strength and his resistance to being subdued and escorted to a private area.
According to information gathered during the investigation, the incident took place on August 21, 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, inside a dormitory at the rehabilitation center located on Melchor Ocampo Street in the Poblado Ejido Matamoros neighborhood of Tijuana. Both accused men allegedly physically assaulted the victim and used force against him, inflicting injuries that resulted in his death. The autopsy determined the cause of death to be mechanical asphyxia due to suffocation.
Upon realizing the victim was unresponsive and apparently showed no vital signs, staff members at the facility acted as accomplices by allowing the “supervisor” and his two assistants to flee the scene; the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has not yet been able to determine their whereabouts.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) executed two arrest warrants against Mario Antonio “N” and Anthony “N” for their alleged criminal liability in the homicide, specifically the charge of aggravated homicide involving an imbalance of power (homicide with *ventaja*).
Both alleged killers were arrested on August 29, 2026, around 12:00 PM, in the Ejido Matamoros neighborhood of the city. It is notable that the press release from the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) omitted basic information needed to identify the case in the media, failing to provide the exact address of the rehabilitation center, its formal name “Jireh,” or its popular name, “Patrulla Espiritual.”
