Oliver Ricardo Cueto, 25, and Mario Uriel Cueto, 30, were arrested on Wednesday, November 4, in the Iztacalco borough, accused of participating in an armed attack that left one man dead.
The Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) announced the capture on Thursday, November 5, via press release 2947/2026.
According to security sources consulted by Infobae México, both men are part of the “Bebé Casasola” cell, which operates under the “La Anti Unión de Tepito” group. The cell is involved in drug distribution, extortion (including the collection of “protection” payments from businesses), and homicides within that borough and other areas of the capital.
The arrests followed investigative and intelligence work by the SSC, conducted in the wake of a shooting on November 2 in the Tlacotal Ramos Millán neighborhood, where two men opened fire on a 34-year-old individual, who subsequently died.
They attempted to flee upon noticing the police
According to official information from the SSC, officers were conducting strategic reconnaissance patrols when they spotted two individuals acting suspiciously near the intersection of Oriente 108 and Sur 19 streets, in the Juventino Rosas neighborhood. One of the men was wearing a ballistic vest, which drew the officers’ attention.
Upon noticing the police, both men attempted to evade the officers and enter a private residence. The police intercepted them to determine whether a crime had been committed and, in accordance with operational protocols, conducted a preventive search.
Oliver Ricardo and Mario Uriel both share the surnames Cueto Franco, suggesting a familial connection, though the SSC statement did not confirm whether they are brothers. According to information in their respective files in the National Registry of Detentions, Oliver Ricardo Cueto Franco is 1.70 meters tall, has a fair complexion, a medium build, and dark brown hair, and wears a beard.
He was wearing a tactical ballistic vest (without the protective panels), a black T-shirt, light blue shorts, and white sneakers with black accents. He also has tattoos on his right forearm and arm, his right calf, and behind his right ear.
Mario Uriel Cueto Franco is also 1.70 meters tall; he has a light-brown complexion, a robust build, and short, dark brown hair, along with a beard and mustache. At the time of his arrest, he was wearing a black T-shirt, navy blue Bermuda shorts, and white sneakers with black accents. He has tattoos on his chest, his left hand, and his right calf.
