“Today we say goodbye to a brother”: Los Tigres del Norte say goodbye to “Flaco” Jiménez

Los Tigres del Norte, one of the most famous bands in Mexico, went into mourning after sharing a message on social media reacting to the death of musician Leonardo “Flaco” Jiménez, who sadly passed away on August 1st.

Thanks to their hits like “La puerta negra,” “El jefe de jefes,” “Ni pariente somos,” and “La mesa del rincón,” Los Tigres del Norte are considered the greatest exponents of regional Mexican music, which is why their recent post went viral, receiving many expressions of support.

In front of their more than two million Instagram followers, Los Tigres del Norte shared a heartbreaking message saying goodbye to their colleague and friend, Leonardo “Flaco” Jiménez. The band recognized the great talent of the accordionist who lost his life in early August.

Along with a photograph of Leonardo “Flaco” Jiménez, the performers of “Golpes en el corazón” wrote a message fondly remembering the musician, assuring them that his legacy will always remain with them and their fans.
