The race for the governorship of Nuevo León in 2027 is beginning to take shape.
MORENA party member Tatiana Clouthier Carrillo confirmed her aspirations and, in a video posted on social media, asserted that she is “the most prepared” to lead the state government—a position currently held by Samuel García, a member of the Citizens’ Movement (Movimiento Ciudadano) party.
In her message, Clouthier outlined her career trajectory to substantiate her bid for office.
She noted that she has spent nearly nine years working at the municipal level and four at the state level, in addition to her time in the private sector, political activism, and the Legislative Branch.
She also emphasized that she has held high-level positions, highlighting that she is the only aspirant with experience as a Secretary of State and with direct involvement in presidential campaigns.
“I have not the slightest doubt that I am the most prepared,” she affirmed, while simultaneously calling for internal party unity ahead of the upcoming electoral process.
