Sinaloan influencer Camilo Ochoa was murdered in Morelos. The YouTuber was shot to death in the bathroom of his apartment in Temixco, Morelos. According to local media, a gunman broke into his home and shot him multiple times. His wife witnessed the crime and alerted authorities. The Morelos Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation, although the identity of the attacker and the motive for the murder have not yet been confirmed.

Camilo Ochoa Delgado, known on social media as “El Alucín,” was a Mexican influencer originally from Sinaloa who gained notoriety for sharing his experiences as a former member of organized crime. At 42, Ochoa had become a controversial figure and had a following on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where he amassed more than 200,000 and 340,000 followers, respectively. His content, centered on stories about drug trafficking, positioned him as a voice speaking from experience, although it also exposed him to deadly risks.

In his posts, Camilo openly described himself as a “former drug trafficker” and claimed to have worked for the Sinaloa Cartel, even claiming to have once commanded a state capital. This narrative, far from being condemned by his followers, generated curiosity and morbid curiosity, turning him into a viral figure. His direct, unfiltered style and his ability to crudely recount violent episodes made him stand out in a digital ecosystem saturated with mainstream influencers.

Camilo began his career as a content creator in 2021, when he began publishing videos in which he discussed his criminal past, his reflections on violence in Mexico, and his apparent process of redemption. Among his most viral content are a video titled “This is how a plaza in Sinaloa is controlled,” an interview in which he claims that Caro Quintero’s capture “wasn’t based on intelligence,” and an Instagram reel in which he confronts Mexico City police. These videos not only generated millions of views but also controversy and media attention.
