President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo said this Tuesday morning that her American counterpart, Donald Trump, proposed to her in a call that the United States (US) army enter Mexico. However, she said no, as there are other ways to collaborate jointly on security matters.
“President Trump did, in a call, propose to me that the United States army could enter, and I told him no, no, that it wasn’t on the table or up for discussion. And he understood. They can insist again, but that topic is not on the table,” she assured.
“On the other hand, there are other ways to collaborate, to coordinate. There is information that they can provide us, information that we can provide them in a collaborative framework, without subordination and respecting our sovereignty,” Sheinbaum Pardo added.
