Saúl “N”, accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in the “El Cali” taqueria case in Mexicali, was extradited.
The case of a 15-year-old girl who started working at the establishment in question, owned by the accused, came to light in February 2025. Despite the victim’s young age, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Although the authorities were notified, municipal police officers failed to arrest Saúl “N” despite the accusations made by the victim and her mother. This allowed him to leave the country for the United States in the days following the incident.
In March, the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office reported that the suspect already had an active arrest warrant and that they were collaborating with U.S. authorities to locate him.
It was in September 2025 that Saúl “N” was arrested in the United States; however, he remained in the neighboring country.
On the afternoon of Monday, January 12, 2026, the investigating authority announced the extradition of Saúl “N”, who will now begin his legal proceedings in Baja California for the alleged sexual assault of a minor.
