Ninth Miner Kidnapped in Concordia, Sinaloa, Identified

The Canadian mining company Vizsla Silver has confirmed the identification of the body of the ninth of the 10 miners who were kidnapped in Concordia, Sinaloa. He has been identified as Miguel Tapia Rayón.

“Nine colleagues have been found deceased. [The company] maintains close contact with the family of one colleague who remains missing and continues to collaborate with authorities in the ongoing investigation,” the company stated.

In a press release issued on April 6, the corporation’s CEO, Michael Konnert, stated:

“This is a devastating outcome, and our deepest condolences go out to all the affected families. We offer them our unwavering support as we mourn the loss of our colleagues and friends.”
