In a recent interview, Nika delved into the details of that relationship, which she described as a “quite painful moment.” According to her testimony, she met Alejandro Sanz at age 15; that meeting had a profound impact on her, as he was her favorite artist and prompted her to dedicate herself fully to the world of music. However, the nature of their relationship changed when she was 22.

Nika confessed that at that time she fell madly in love with the Madrid-born singer-songwriter. “Many years later, I started a relationship with him. I’ve gone to concerts with my family, I’ve brought him a demo, I’ve told him I was going to the OT audition.” In this sense, she assured that their relationship wasn’t always professional, but she told her interviewer: “And that’s it. It’s a subject I prefer not to talk about.”
