A total of five people died after an armed attack and fire at a nightclub in the early hours of November 18. One of the victims was a dancer of foreign origin, and another was a DJ.

The Secretary of Public Security, Francisco Sánchez González, indicated that, in conjunction with the State Attorney General’s Office, they are investigating two possible motives: drug dealing and/or extortion.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. at the Lacoss establishment, located in the southern part of Puebla City, at the intersection of 11th South and 105th West, near the Periférico Ecológico (Ecological Ring Road).

Six armed men with jerrycans full of gasoline fired at least seven shots and then set the establishment on fire while employees were still inside.
In total, there were 14 victims, who were tied up. Nine survived, though with burns, while five died.
