The young lead singer of Los Incomparables de Tijuana, Eleuterio “Tello” Higuera, was found dead after being abducted while performing at a family party in the Aztlán neighborhood of Rosarito, Baja California.

The news was confirmed by both the band and Mario Quintero, lead singer of Los Tucanes de Tijuana, who was the uncle of the young Mexican regional music artist from northern Mexico.

“With broken hearts and immeasurable sadness, ‘Los Incomparables de Tijuana’ deeply regret having to announce the passing of our dear colleague Tello Higuera Jr.

“‘Tello’ Higuera Jr. left this earth on Friday, October 24, leaving a void that can never be filled in our lives and in the music scene.” “His passion, his unparalleled talent, and his vibrant spirit were essential in every chord, every song, and every performance we shared,” the group stated on their official Instagram account. According to initial reports, “Tello” Higuera and his bandmates were performing at a venue on October 22nd when they were surprised by armed civilians.

There, the alleged criminals kidnapped the band members, but while they released the others alive, they held “Tello” Higuera Jr. captive. His lifeless body was found two days later. No arrests have been made in connection with this crime.
