The Mexican Navy (Semar) captured six suspected members of the Los Mayos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel in possession of weapons in the municipality of Navolato, Sinaloa.

The operation took place in the town of Las Trancas, where naval personnel, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), were conducting land patrols as part of their ongoing operations in the state.

These patrols began after the start of the war between the Los Chapitos and Los Mayos factions, which, since September 9, 2024, has led to an increase in the daily violence in Sinaloa.

After the naval personnel located the individuals, they seized nine rifles, five vehicles, two motorcycles, 26 loaded magazines, and eight tactical vests.
