Singer Natanael Cano obtained a provisional injunction preventing his arrest in Sonora after his defense filed an appeal with a federal court.
The injunction, granted by Judge Yadira Guadalupe Dórame Enríquez of the First District Court in Sonora, protects the singer’s freedom while the merits of a case initiated just last December 31, 2025, are reviewed.
According to Radio Fórmula Sonora, an arrest warrant had been issued by a local criminal judge, although authorities have not yet publicly disclosed when it was issued or the specific reasons behind it.
The federal judge ruled that the singer of corridos tumbados cannot be deprived of his liberty for the duration of the injunction.
