Morelia Solís Hernández, 28, daughter of teacher Minerva Hernández Díaz, a former councilwoman from the municipality of Zacatelco, Tlaxcala, was found dead inside a motel located on the Tlaxcala-Puebla highway, near Tepeyanco.
The State Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation following the femicide protocol to determine the exact timeline of events and the legal cause of death.
The incident was reported to the 911 emergency number from the Hard Ferc Motel. The young woman’s companion alerted authorities that his partner, with whom he had been drinking alcohol, had begun to feel ill and was unresponsive.
In the call, the man described the woman’s lips as having a purple discoloration, and that she had no pulse or breathing. The Tlaxcala Emergency Medical Regulation Center (CRUMT) attempted to guide the caller over the phone on how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Despite their efforts, when a CRUMT ambulance arrived at the scene and paramedics assessed the patient, it was confirmed that Morelia Solís Hernández no longer had vital signs. It was also confirmed that the young woman had been drinking alcohol hours earlier.
Following the confirmation of her death, the Institute of Forensic Sciences (INCIFO) of the State Attorney General’s Office was requested to remove the body and determine the official and legal cause of death.
