Michoacán Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla announced that he has requested Interpol’s assistance in capturing Silvano Aureoles, the former governor of Michoacán, who is wanted for the Arantepacua massacre and multimillion-dollar fraud.

He made this request to Ernestina Godoy Ramos, head of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), after authorities learned that Aureoles Conejo is believed to be abroad.

“It is known that he is most likely outside the country, which is why I have asked Attorney General Ernestina Godoy to send these requests for assistance to Interpol, to all the countries with which we have agreements on justice matters, to issue the red notice,” he stated at a press conference. The governor highlighted that the recent arrest warrant issued against Silvano Aureoles was by a criminal judge in Michoacán, which is related to the Arantepacua massacre of April 5, 2027, where 38 people were arbitrarily detained and which resulted in the death of 4.

The former governor already had an arrest warrant issued previously for the fraud of 3.6 billion pesos during his administration from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2021.
