U.S. authorities arrested an undocumented Mexican migrant who threatened to assassinate President Donald Trump, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem revealed in a press release.
It all began on May 21, when a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field intelligence officer received a handwritten letter in the mail from Ramón Morales Reyes, who stated he would “self-deport” after using his firearm to shoot Trump in the head during one of his rallies.
Noem stated that thanks to ICE officers, the migrant who threatened to assassinate the president is now behind bars.
“This threat comes less than a year after President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, and less than two weeks after former FBI Director Comey called for his assassination,” the Homeland Security Secretary added.
