Marianne Gonzaga who allegedly stabbed Valentina Gilabert up to 15 times inside a home, has reportedly been released after spending five months in pretrial detention.

According to various sources, the young woman was released from the Specialized Center for Adolescent Women after undergoing an ongoing judicial process, although she will await its resolution.
Journalist Lupita Juárez reported on this release through her social media account, X, although no official announcement has yet been made by the city authorities.

Marianne allegedly attacked Valentina Gilabert after learning she was in a relationship with her ex-partner, prompting her to meet them at Park Pedregal in the Álvaro Obregón borough.
A few weeks ago, the TikTok account Reas de Turquesa, supposedly run by inmates at the Santa Martha Acatitla women’s prison, pointed out that Marianne’s behavior in prison has been exemplary.

“She’s fine. She remains detained in the community for women in conflict with the law. Her trial will take a long time. It’s 95 percent certain that she will be sentenced. She’s not going for anything. If she had been 18, she would be on trial for attempted femicide, but she escaped prison and is facing aggravated bodily harm.

“She’s super calm and kind within the community; she’s extremely active in the activities and workshops offered by the institution. The truth is that those who have met her tell me that she always has a smile on their faces. They don’t understand why she acted that way. She always wears braids and the institution’s uniform,” she noted.
