The discovery of the bodies of Colombian DJ B King (Bayron Sánchez Salazar) and his colleague DJ Regio Clown in the State of Mexico has put the spotlight on his ex-partner, fellow DJ Marcela Reyes, whose name has been linked to the disappearance and subsequent death of the artist, intensifying public and judicial scrutiny over her.
The news broke just days after the two musicians disappeared, reported on September 16 after their trip to Mexico City to perform.
B King’s sister raised concerns on social media about the lack of contact, prompting intervention from both Mexican authorities and Colombian President Gustavo Petro. Petro publicly requested support from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, demanding urgent measures to locate them.
The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJ-CDMX) confirmed on September 22 the identification of the bodies, found on September 17 in Cocotitlán, State of Mexico.
