A new lord went viral, this time targeting a family of merchants who were standing on a sidewalk. The video was shared on social media and was named Lord Banquetas.
The situation occurred in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood of Mexico City.
How did the situation unfold?
A man wearing a white T-shirt and shorts approached a family of merchants who were selling various items on a sidewalk. The man began verbally attacking the family and warned them to leave the area.
“We don’t want street vendors in my neighborhood, respect, respect,” he demanded of the vendors.
Afterward, the man allegedly called and stated that the people on the sidewalk did not have a permit to sell their products.
“Hey, they’re setting up street vendors, and they don’t have a permit. Right here on the corner. All the neighbors had already arranged to meet with the proper authority,” he said.
Users react
After the situation became known, social media users reacted and commented on the shared videos.
“Selling on the street isn’t a crime, but selling on the street without a permit is considered an administrative offense,” “Does anyone know what happened to the Lord?” “Justice,” “The owner of the neighborhood has already left,” “Lord Banquetas,” were some of the comments shared.
