Lemon or currant? Cocaine and fentanyl found hidden in ice pop cart in Michoacán

Is the Michoacán Plan “freezing” drug trafficking? An ice pop cart was found with 4.85 kilograms of cocaine inside, prompting an operation by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

Although the owner of the cart is still unknown, authorities have already begun an investigation to find those responsible for the attempted drug trafficking.

According to official information, the incident occurred in the municipality of Tarímbaro, on the Morelia-Salamanca highway, where authorities stopped a delivery vehicle.

In the vehicle, authorities found an ice cream cart containing five packages of cocaine, as well as another five packages containing 5.38 kilograms of fentanyl tablets, although it wasn’t explained whether the latter were inside the cart or elsewhere. So, how did they find the drugs inside an ice cream cart? The operation was successful thanks to the intervention of a canine unit, which detected the presence of cocaine inside the cart.
