Enedina Arellano Félix, known as “La Jefa” or “La Narcomami,” has reportedly regained control of the Tijuana Cartel’s operations, along with her nephew Fernando Sánchez Arellano, alias “El Ingeniero.”

According to information revealed by journalist Adela Navarro in Zeta Tijuana, reports from Mexican and U.S. authorities indicate that both have returned to the Baja California city under a new criminal scheme, including alliances with other criminal groups.

The reintegration of these two figures occurs in a context where the original base of the Arellano Félix Cartel (CAF) has been weakened for years by deaths, arrests, and extraditions.

However, in recent months, the release from prison of historical figures—including “El Ingeniero” himself—has allowed them to regroup and reestablish the chain of command.

According to what Adela Navarro documented, both Enedina and her nephew have once again assumed operational control, relying on a structure that combines business and criminal elements.
