Colombian singers Bayron Sánchez Salazar, known as “B King,” and Jorge Luis Herrera, “Regio Clown,” who had been missing since September 16, were found dead and dismembered in the State of Mexico. A message signed by the criminal group La Familia Michoacana was found next to their bodies.
The murder was allegedly due to the narco-war between cartels over drug sales. The Colombian singers are directly linked to being drug dealers and also grasshoppers (who switched sides, betraying another group).
The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX), in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), led the search.
Mexico City authorities compiled testimonies and videos that located the musicians’ last whereabouts in the State of Mexico.
The bodies were found on September 17 in the municipality of Cocotitlán, in the Volcanes region of the State of Mexico. However, it wasn’t until this Monday that Bayron Sánchez’s relatives identified his remains at the Tlalnepantla Regional Attorney General’s Office.
Originally, it was reported that the artists had disappeared after a performance in Sonora, but the prosecutor’s office in that state denied having any record of the singers’ events in their territory, confirming that the disappearance occurred in Mexico City, after they had gone to a gym in the Polanco neighborhood.
