The Mexican star’s Arlington show is on hold as work visa problems delay his return to the U.S. stage; fans urged to hold onto tickets for new date.
Mexican singer Julión Álvarez has postponed his highly anticipated concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025. The decision was made after Álvarez and his band, Norteño Banda, encountered unforeseen issues with their work visas, preventing their timely entry into the United States.
In a video shared on his official Instagram account, Álvarez expressed his regret over the situation, stating that he was formally notified of the visa cancellations on the morning of May 23. He emphasized that the circumstances were beyond their control and apologized to fans for the inconvenience.
Promoters CMN and Copar Music have confirmed that the concert will be rescheduled, although a new date has not yet been announced. All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event. Ticket holders will receive further information via email in the coming days, including details on how to request a refund if they are unable to attend the new date.
This concert was set to be a significant event, marking Álvarez’s return to the U.S. stage after an eight-year hiatus due to past legal issues. In 2017, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) accused him of connections to money laundering activities, leading to a ban on his performances in the United States. After a lengthy legal battle, his name was cleared in early 2022, allowing him to resume his career in the U.S.
Fans are encouraged to stay updated through official channels for the announcement of the new concert date and any additional information regarding the rescheduled event.
