Can Julio Urías play in the LMB?
The Major League Baseball Commissioner’s Office recently announced that the former Dodgers pitcher could continue his career in the United States after serving a suspension that expires on July 17, the date on which he will be free to sign in free agency. This isn’t the case in the Mexican Summer League, which prefers to wait for him to complete his legal process, which also included 30 days of community service and 52 weeks of a domestic violence prevention course.
Once “El Culichi” completes his sentence in May 2027, the governing and sports committee will bring the matter back to the table to evaluate a possible incorporation into the Mexican Baseball League.
