Julio César Chávez shares the first words his son said to him from prison in the United States: “He’s in shock.”
Julio César Chávez Jr. was arrested on July 2 in the United States for alleged visa issues, as well as an arrest warrant against him in Mexico for alleged arms trafficking and alleged links to drug trafficking.
During this time, his loved ones have been keeping an eye on him, especially his father, Julio César Chávez, who has already spoken with him about the entire legal situation he is facing.
“I’ve spoken with my son, he’s in shock, he can’t understand it. He says to me: ‘How can you accuse me of all this, dad?'” he said in a meeting with the media.
The boxing legend did not share any further information on the matter, but assured that his son is innocent.
